PURPOSE:To obtain a sharp image without contamination and to obtain uniform development. CONSTITUTION:A conductive elastic layer 20 and a conductive surface layer 21 are successively formed on a core metal 17. The conductive elastic layer 20 contains silicone rubber with addition of carbon black or the like to give desired conductivity, while the surface layer 21 contains fluorosilicone rubber with addition of carbon black or the like. Desired hardness (softness) of silicone rubber can be obtd. without addition of a softening agent. Further, the fluorosilicone rubber has resistance against both of acid and alkali developers and does not swell even when the rubber is immersed in a developer. Thus, good squeezing property for a developer can be obtd. because of the conductivity and uniform development is obtd. because the roller does not swell in a developer. Since no softening agent is added, contamination of the developing surface due to precipitation of a softening agent can be prevented. |
