METHOD AND DEVICE FOR CALCULATING COST AND DESIGN SUPPORTING DEVICE

PURPOSE:To provide highly accurate cost calculating method and device allowed to be used also for the calculation of product cost before the manufacture of its product by using plural calculation costs or past experiential values. CONSTITUTION:This cost calculating device is constituted of an input device 1 for inputting product data and cost data in each cost generation element, an arithmetic processing part 40 and an output device 29 provided with a display function and the processing part 40 has a cost generation element group data generating means 41 for generating plural cost generation element groups from product data, a maximum/minimum value totalizing means 42 for calculating the maximum value and minimum value of costs in each group and a maximum value and minimum value selecting means 43 for selecting a maximum value out of the minimum values of costs totalized in respective groups and selecting a minimum value out of the maximum values of the costs and outputs a product cost determined by setting up the selected maximum value as a minimum value and setting up the selected minimum value as a maximum value. Consequently a product cost having accuracy higher than the original one can be obtained based upon plural calculated costs.
