The present invention relates to a wheel suspension system for a vehicle or equivalent, said wheel suspension system comprising a wheel hub, respectively traction motor, mounted on axle beam, whereto the wheel has been attached. The wheel hub, respectively traction motor, has been mounted on the axle beam articulatedly, mainly by mediation of a longitudinal suspension pin of a vehicle or equivalent, said suspension pin being located essentially in the centreline of the wheel, in height direction at a space below the central axis of the wheel. The wheel is in such case enabled, while adapting itself to the running base, to tilt freely around the suspension pin irrespective of the tilting of the vehicle or equivalent and/or the axle beam.
