The shower enlarger comprises a one-piece curtain rod having an offset medial section (18) engageable with an upper area of the shower curtain (16) positioned outwardly of the shower rim beyond the shower area for providing a greater stall space for upper body movement while showering and for holding a shower curtain (16) out of body contact by resisting aerodynamic forces applied to a shower curtain (16) from outside of the shower area, the offset medial section (18) having end sections (21, 22) at outer ends thereof overlying the shower rim, the outer ends of the end sections (21, 22) extending in opposite directions away from one another, the outer ends of the end sections (21, 22) being secured in vertical overlying alignment with the shower rim and in assembly with opposed upright walls (12, 14) of the shower area, and said end sections (21, 22) being positioned so as to extend generally in the same direction as said medial section (18).
