PURPOSE:To provide a filter plug feeder applicable to both dual and non-dual filter plugs. CONSTITUTION:This filter plug feeder is so designed to be equipped with hopper drums 52, 54 to draw one by one charcoal and plain filter rods from a pair of hoppers 40, 42, the 1st assembly drum 58 to receive a pair of charcoal half rods resulted from equally cutting a charcoal filter rod and also receive a pair of charcoal rods from a separation drum 56 for separating the above pair of charcoal half rods and a pair of plain half rods resulted from equally cutting a plain filter rod from the hopper drum 54, and a pair of rotary knives 68 to equally cut the respective charcoal half rods on the 1st assembly drum. The hopper drums each makes the respective length centers of the filter rods from the hoppers coincide with the conveyance line of the hopper drum and receives these filter rods.
