Described is a nozzle (DD) for the metered application of drops of adhesive to a substrate, the inside wall of the nozzle having a non-stick (adhesive-repellant) coating (B) at least in the region of the nozzle mouth. The non-stick coating (B) is preferably a series of layers with a base layer consisting of a chemically deposited nickel-phosphorus alloy and a surface layer consisting of polytetrafluoroethylene. Nozzles (DD) of the type proposed are suitable for use in the adhesive-application station of an SMD assembly line. The non-stick coating (B) facilitates cleaning of the nozzles (DD) and permits the cleaning interval to be increased. |
