Prodn. of complex sheet work parts in composite material consisting of a monobloc piece having several relatively thin parts arranged in different secant planes in which the pre- impregnated fibres follow several layers is claimed. The monobloc piece is pressed at high temp. in an oven press with single axis compression. The force on the part being made (7) is applied to one side of each constituent piece (1',2') by decomposing the single axis compressor force (9) into resultant forces (10) on the sides of the part to be made. The decomposition is achieved by a composite press tool of parts arranged to interact by mutually sliding on inclined surfaces so that the initial tool shape fits totally within the part to be formed. The active forces are constantly parallel during movement in pressing.
