<p>An adapter for a general supply voltage lamp holder wherein said adapter comprises a general supply voltage lamp cap (2) adapted to mechanically and electrically engage a general supply voltage lamp holder, an electrical means (11) adapted to convert said supply voltage into a suitable supply to power a fluorescent lamp (6), a body (5) attached to said supply voltage lamp cap and adapted to house said electrical means characterized in that said body has attached thereto a fluorescent lamp holder (8) adapted to mechanically and electrically engage a fluorescent lamp wherein said fluorescent lamp holder is electrically connected to said electrical means and mechanically connected to said body such that said lamp, when engaged to said fluorescent lamp holder, is inclinable and rotatable relative to said body whilst maintaining said mechanical and electrical engagements and connections.</p> |
