PURPOSE:To reduce in size an air conditioner and to prevent generation of mildew by horizontally installing a heat exchanger to a vertical vent passage, inclining a humidifier with respect to a horizontal air flow under the exchanger, and so installing as to form gaps between an outer periphery and four sidewalls of the passage. CONSTITUTION:A heat exchanger 8 is so horizontally installed that an outer periphery is brought into contact with four sidewalls 91 for forming a vertical vent passage 6 to block the passage 6. A humidifier 9 is horizontally inclined with respect to a horizontal air flow under the exchanger 8, and so installed that the outer periphery is not brought into contact with the sidewalls 91 of a vent passage 5. Thus, condensate generated in the case of heat exchanging is dropped down, a ventilating pressure loss is reduced, and it is not necessary to increase in size the exchanger. An air resistance by the humidifier is decreased, fine dusts adhered to a surface of a humidifier element can be removed by the air flow, thereby preventing generations of milder and offensive odor. |
