摘要 PURPOSE: reduce search time by searching for a secondary path from a tentative departing point to a destination by searching for with a lower directivity than a primary route search means and then switching a being displayed to the secondary route when a vehicle arrives at the tentative departing point. CONSTITUTION:A CPU 1 exchanges data with each kind of equipment and calculates the current location of a vehicle according to a control program. An azimuth sensor 3 detects the traveling azimuth of the vehicle and is connected to a system bus 2 via an A/D converter 5 and an I/O controller 6 and then a vehicle speed sensor 7 generates a pulse signal per rotation of a speed meter pinion and is connected to the system bus 2 via the I/O controller 6. Then, the CPU 1 searches for the primary path from the current location to the destination by performing a route search with a high directivity and sets a tentative departing point on a primary route. Further, route search with a low directivity is performed and the secondary route from the tentative departing point to the destination is searched, and the being displayed is switched from the primary route to the secondary route when the vehicle reaches the tentative point.
