PURPOSE:To facilitate replacement of a grooved guide roller and accurately confirm an abrasion limit of the grooved guide roller. CONSTITUTION:As a wire saw guide roller support structure, a ball plunger 12 or a plate spring key is installed on one side and an engaging part 27 to be engaged with the ball plunger 12 or a key way to be engaged with the plate spring key is provided on the other side. Also, as an abrasion limit detecting means, an axial through-hole is formed at a position corresponding to an abrasion limit radius on a side face of a grooved guide roller 9, or judgement is conducted based on increase in rotation speed of the guide roller 9 due to abrasion of a groove 14 thereof. Or, in the case of the guide roller 9, a groove abrasion limit radius is confirmed through electric conductivity between a wire 2 and a contact piece 27 at a groove bottom part due to groove abrasion, or in the case of a main roller 10, the abrasion limit radius is confirmed through electric conductivity between the wire 2 and a conductive contact piece 50 installed in the vicinity of the main roller 10. |
