PURPOSE:To easily obtain the subject food good in taste, flavor and palate feeling when taken, causing little crumbling of the starch form during production process, representing a gradient-type seasoned food higher in seasoning degree toward the outer side of the starch form with a dissolved seasoning also permeated into said form, by coating the outermost side of said form with water- insoluble solid food powder to protect the seasoning and improve the water resistance of the starch form. CONSTITUTION:This starch-processed food can be obtained by the following consecutive steps: a flaky or thin-lumpy starch form is incorporated with a water-soluble seasoning material-contg. seasoning liquor or a seasoning material plus water to conduct seasoning and water absorption treatment; the resultant starch form seasoned and subjected to the water absorption treatment is coated with water-insoluble or sparingly water-soluble solid food powder of <42 mesh; and the water in the resultant starch form is dried. In the 1st step, the amount of water to be added to the starch form is 15-40wt.% based on the form. |
