<p>PURPOSE:To reduce a pressing force required in connecting operation of both housings by preventing fluid force applied to a sliding cylinder from acting as a releasing force for each housing of the first and the second couplings in a quick disconnect release coupling for connecting/releasing a middle part of a pressure pipe line. CONSTITUTION:A cylindrical case 8 is inserted into a housing 1 of a socket (the first coupling) A while maintaining tightness, and the cylindrical case 8 is energized to the right by means of a spring 9, while a sliding cylinder 20 fitted in a cylinder hole 22 of the cylindrical case 8 is energized to the right by means of another spring 28. When the socket A and a plug (the second coupling) B are butt connected together, the sliding cylinder 20 is retracted to an opening position on the left side by means of a pressing member 65 arranged in the housing 2 tip part of the plug B, while a closing member 62 inside the sliding cylinder 20 is released. When the connection is finished, the cylindrical case 8 and the housing 2 are integrally connected together by means of a ball 53, so that clearances M, N are formed on both right and left sides of the cylindrical case 8.</p> |
