FLANGE BACK ADJUSTMENT METHOD FOR VIDEO CAMERA USING INNER FOCUS LENS

PURPOSE:To reduce an adjustment time by detecting an apex position on a cam curve and estimating a position of an end point from a position of a variator before being reached to the end point so as to prevent the variator during adjustment from being in mechanical contact with the end. CONSTITUTION:An apex of a cam curve is detected and a variator 3 and a focus lens 5 are located to a position of the apex and a telescopic end and a wide end are specified based on the apex on the cam curve. Then the positions of the telescopic end and the wide end are estimated through calculation based on the position of the variator before reaching the telescopic end and the wide end. This estimate is implemented by using a ratio of a distance from a position of the variator 3 to one end point focused when the focus lens 5 is moved by a prescribed quantity from the apex on the cam curve obtained in advance to a distance from a position of the variator 3 to the other end point focused when the focus lens 5 is moved by a prescribed quantity from the apex on the cam curve obtained in advance. Thus, the mechanical contact of the variator 3 onto the end during adjustment is prevented.
