A hair trimmer comprises a base-plate having a recess 3, the bottom of which is formed with teeth 4, the recess having mounted therein a detachable cover-plate 6 integral with a bar 7 of resilient material, e.g. plastics, which is axially slidable in a channel 5 in the handle 1 of the base-plate, the plate 6 having bosses 8 engageable in tracks 10 in the bottom of the recess 3 and passing through apertures in a razor blade provided with a cutting edge 9, the bar 7 being bent upwardly at 11 and having a projection 14 engageable with one of a plurality of teeth 15 in the bottom of the channel 5, and the bar being provided with pairs of lips 16 which, when the bar is pushed forwardly from its initial, detachable, position, pass under lips 17 on the side walls of the channel 5. |
