The lighting system (10) includes a support to carry cylindrical forms (14), on which prismoid reflection elements (11) with reflective surfaces are fitted. The cylindrical forms are mounted onto the support by means of plug-in connections, which can be used to vary the position and/or angle of the reflective surfaces. Each support, carrying a number of the cylindrical forms, forms a reflective surface, which is mounted parallel to a ceiling or wall. At least two reflective surfaces (38, 39) are arranged one above the other, such that daylight (2) from a window area (4) is collected and rerouted into occupied interior areas (8) of the building (1).
