In nonpolar or relatively poor solvents, a mixt. of monomer having blocked isocyanate groups and viny1 monomer was polymd. to give a dispersion (I) of polymers having active H groups and blocked isocyanate compds. A mixt. of the monomer compn. 220, 2-hydroxyethy1 methacrylate 150, Me methacrylate 400, Et acrylate 340, Xylene 220, and Bz2O2 11 parts was added to 2,000 parts of 50% non-volatile cotton seed oil-modified alkyd resins and 890 parts mineral spirits at 80≦̸C, and the mixt. was heated for 6hr at 80-83≦̸C to give I.
