PURPOSE:To obtain a recording material for oily ink excellent in the absorbability and fixing properties of oily ink, transparency and water resistance by arranging an ink receiving layer composed of a modified polyvinyl acetal resin having a specific hydrophilic group and a specific acetylation degree on a support. CONSTITUTION:A recording material for oily ink is constituted by arranging an ink receiving layer composed of a modified polyvinyl acetal resin having a specific hydrophilic group and a specific acetylation degree on a support. The specific modified polyvinyl acetal resin contains at least one kind of a hydrophilic group selected from a group consisting of -COOM, -SO3M, -OSO3M,- PO (OM)2, a group represented by the formula (wherein R is hydrogen or an alkyl group and M is hydrogen, lithium, sodium or potassium), tertiary amine, a quaternary ammonium salt or betaine and is specified to 55 mol% or more in acetal concn. By this constitution, an ink receiving layer excellent in the absorbability and fixing properties of oily ink, transparency and water resistance can be formed. |
