Electronic label device comprising a computer (3), at least one rail (4) providing a support for electronic labels (8) and mechanically holding the electronic labels (8) in place. Said rail (5) comprises at least one electrically conducting link (34) for electric signals and supplies electric power to said labels (8). The device includes labels each including at least one alphanumeric information display (13, 14) for displaying the information required for the identification of a product. Each label includes a means (24) for receiving information (24) from a computer on a conducting link built into said rail, a means for transmitting information (25) to the computer on an electrically conducting link built into the rail, and information transmission means (26) performed by a user.
