PURPOSE:To obtain fine particles containing a uniformly dispersed colorant and excelling in hiding power by dispersing a colorant in a lowly viscous solvent, with the aid of a multi-chain polymeric nonionic surfactant, adding a urethane polymer to the dispersion, and emulsifying the resulting dispersion in water containing an emulsifier and a protective colloid. CONSTITUTION:A process for producing fine high polymer particles comprising a polyurethane and a polyurea resin, wherein the purpose particles are obtained by uniformly dispersion a colorant in a lowly viscous solvent with the aid of multi-chain polymeric nonionic surfactant, adding a polyol resin and a polyisocyanate compound and/or a urethane prepolymer to the dispersion, emulsifying the obtained mixture in water or a solvent containing an emulsifier and/or a protective colloid, and curing the obtained emulsion. When the multi-chain polymeric nonionic surfactant is added as described above, the rate of dispersion can be accelerated and the viscosity increase otherwise occurring in a highly concentrated dispersion can be suppressed. |
