PURPOSE:To surely prevent error detection and surely install an external part in a wire harness by composing a specified structure in an installing apparatus to install an external part in a wire harness. CONSTITUTION:An installing apparatus to install external parts in a wire harness is composed of an external part installing jig 45, an external part attachment detecting means 47, a jig position detecting means 49, and an external part inspecting part 51 which are specified respectively. The external part installing jig 45 may be positioned at two positions; an installation position where an external part 7 is installed in a wire harness W arranged on a wiring stand 43 and an attachment position where the external part 7 is attached. The external part attachment detecting means 47 detects whether the external part 7 is attached to the external part installing jig 45 or not and sends out an ON or OFF signal. The jig position detecting means 49 detects at which position the external part installing jig 45 is positioned and sends out an ON or OFF signal. The external part inspecting part 51 detects the installation of the external part 7 in the wire harness W based on the signals from the external part attchment detecting means 47 and the jig position detecting means 49. |
