The polyethylene terephthalate copolymer comprises the repeating units of formula (I), (II) and (III)). The repeating unit (I) is 3-60 mole.% w.r.t. total repeating units, and the (II) and (III) of the rest repeating units are equivalant mole. In the formula, n is 0 or 1. This process is prevent to forming p-acetoxy benzoic acid block which is formed self condensation reacting of p- acetoxy benzoic acid, and the obtd. PET copolymer has a good spinnability.
