PURPOSE:To always reproduce a normal video by providing plural driving units and reproducing specified video information by controlling the other driving units when a reading error occurs during reproducing. CONSTITUTION:This video reproducing device is provided with plural driving units M1 for reading video information from a disk stored with background videos of a 'KARAOKE' device, for instance. A driving unit selecting means M2 selects one of the driving units M1 based on a specified selection reference. A driving unit control means M3 controls the selected driving unit M1 and reproduces a background video corresponding to, for instance the genre of music. When failures such a disk reading error occur during video reproducing, an instruction is given to the driving unit selecting means M2 and the other sound driving unit is selected. In a storage means M4, for instance the number of failure times by respective driving units are stored to makes it a specified selection reference. |
