The platform experiences rotation by mechanical equipment about the high axis with the angular velocity of the azimuthal movement of the sun. The platform is formed from hollow channels (1) in the direction of the sun which float on a layer of water. The hollow channels run horizontally and are comprised of two shell-shaped shells (2,3) which are releasably connected together. The lower shell (3) runs partially under the water line and displaces a quantity of water which corresponds to the weight of the hollow channel. A radiation converter is the submerged region. The upper shell (2) is made of transparent material with prism-forming, beam deflecting steps (23) which effect a two-dimensional concentration of the solar radiation.
