PURPOSE:To manufacture a no-core toilet roll of which the center hollow part is not crushed. CONSTITUTION:A winder in which web W on a winding shaft is pushed down by means of a rider roll 4 and the web W is wound on the winding shaft is used, the touch pressure P of the rider roll 4 against the web W on the winding shaft is set high at beginning of winding the web W, and set lower as the winding diameter is increased. Further, in the beginning process of winding, during several rolls from the beginning end of the web W it is wound in the dry state, next winding of several rolls is performed while spraying water on the succeeding web W, and thereafter the web W is wound up to predetermined diameter in the dry state as a main winding process. At this time, in the winding of beginning process, the paper winding speed at a winding part is set higher than the paper feed speed at a paper feed working part and the touch pressure P of the rider roll 4 is set low, in the winding of main process the touch pressure P of the rider roll 4 is increased, and thereafter it is set lower as the winding diameter of the web W is increased. |
