PURPOSE:To obtain a slab having good surface characteristics by uniformly growing a solidified shell in the case of continuous casting of the thin slab by a belt type continuous casting machine. CONSTITUTION:This belt for the belt type continuous casting machine is produced by forming an adhesive film 2a of an inorg. system consisting of an alumina-silica material on the working side surface of a metallic belt, forming a lubricative film 2b of an inorg. system consisting of a graphite-based material, silica-based material or BN-based material on this adhesive film 2a, thereby forming an inorg. film having a total film thickness of 80 to 200mum. |
