The display wall has an end wall in the longitudinal direction which has a non-rectilinear outline. At least one of the two faces (4,5) of the display wall (1) is divided into several superposed pairs of parallel surface areas. The first surface area of each pair is divided into adjoining areas to hold pictures of the goods and the second surface area is divided into the same number of similarly adjoining areas which each hold the bar code allocated to the goods of the associated area of the first surface area. The outline of the display wall should be so long and shaped so that when viewing the display wall from a distance of about 1.0 m with a horizontal viewing angle of pref. 75 degs. at the most one of the two long side edges (2,3) is visible.
