PURPOSE:To improve the light fastness of a developed yellow color image without deteriorating the characteristics of a benzoylacetoanilide type yellow coupler by forming at least one photosensitive silver halide emulsion layer contg. the benzoylacetoanilide type yellow coupler in combination with a pivaloylacetoanilide type yellow coupler. CONSTITUTION:A photosensitive silver halide emulsion layer contg. a benzoylacetoanilide type yellow coupler and a pivaloylacetoanilide type yellow coupler is formed. A compd. represented by formula I is preferably used as the benzoylacetoanilide type yellow coupler. In formula I, each of R<1>-R<3> is H, halogen, alkyl, sulfamoyl or the like, each of R<4>-R<7> is H, alkyl, alkoxy, sulfonamido or the like, W is halogen, alkyl, alkoxy, dialkylamino or the like and X<1> is H or a releasable group. Thus, a silver halide photographic sensitive material having superior sharpness of an image and improved light fastness of a yellow dye image can be obtd. |
