INDOOR AIR PURIFYING METHOD AND DEVICE THEREFOR

PURPOSE:To provide an indoor air purifying method and device for removing fine particles in indoor air. CONSTITUTION:A metal vapor-deposited filter 3 is provide on a flow passage 2 of air in a room 1 taken in from an intake 8, and the suspended fine particles in the air are collected and filtered. An acicular discharge electrode 7 impressed with discharge voltage negative to the metal vapor-deposited filter 3 is provided in a discharge port 9. The fine particles in the filtered air to be returned from the discharge port 9 to the room 1 are brought into contact with negative ions produced by discharge of the discharge electrode 7 in the discharge port 9 and are charged with negative electricity. The negative charged fine particles discharged to the room 1 are taken in from the intake 8 together with other suspended fine particles and are filtered by the metal vapor-deposited filter 3, simultaneously attracted electrostatically and collected. A silver vapor- deposited filter is preferably used as the metal vapor-deposited filter 3.
