Rotation evaporator

The rotation evaporator, for separation by distillation of large vols. of solvents from thermally unstable or foaming materials without crystallisation, has a flexible vapour passage channel (7) between the condenser (5) and the rotating vapour flask (2). The rotary drive for the piston (2) rotates it round its longitudinal axis (L) from a given start position, to and fro by a set angle. In the start position, the flexible channel (7) is already twisted by a given amount so that the start position matches an end position, using a channel (7) which can be twisted along its length, using a Teflon (RTM) tube or a metal bellows or a plastics tube resistant to chemicals.
