PURPOSE:To provide a rodlike loop type heat pipe having a rod state using a metal tube, easy manufacture and execution and an excellent heat transfer efficiency by separately forming a vapor tube in which refrigerant vapor rises and a liquid return passage in which liquid of refrigerant condensed by a condenser is returned. CONSTITUTION:A heat pipe comprises a metal tube 3 in which a pressure is reduced and refrigerant 4 is sealed and which has an evaporating part 5 of the refrigerant 4 in a lower part and a condensing part 6 of refrigerant vapor 4a in an upper part, wherein the part 6 is inclined obliquely upward at the upper part of the tube 3. The pipe further comprises a liquid return passage 8 integrally formed with an oblique side of the part 6 of inside a vapor tube 7 in which the vapor 4a between the parts 6 and 5 rises to return the condensed refrigerant 4 in such a manner that its sectional area is smaller than that of the tube 7, wherein the tube 7 and the passage 8 are separately formed. |
