PURPOSE:To provide a power converter that can be housed in one enclosure as a single general-purpose inverter or single power regenerating converter or two converters can be combined as an inverter having a power regenerating function and can be manufactured at high productivity. CONSTITUTION:A terminal B is provided on the positive side of the DC side of the power converter of an ordinary general-purpose inverter device so that the positive terminal P of a smoothing capacitor of the positive output terminal A of a diode rectifier circuit can be connected to the terminal B in a switching way and, at the same time, a control circuit which can set software for controlling the power generator as an inverter or software for controlling the power converter as a power regenerating converter in a switching way is provided. |
