PURPOSE:To provide a heat sink using a heat pipe which is excellent in the flatness of a fixing surface of a heating element and the heating element fixing facility. CONSTITUTION:A heat sink using a heat pipe consists of the following; a roll bond panel type heat pipe 1 having an overhang part 1a for fixing a heating element, radiation fins 4, 5 arranged on the upper and the lower surface of a heat pipe main body 1b, and a plate 6 for fixing the heating element which plate is arranged on the upper surface of the expanding pipe parts 2 of the overhang part 1a. Machine screw holes 7, 8 for fixing the heating element are formed at the pressure welding parts 3 of the four corners of the overhang part 1a and the four corners of the plate 6. The machine screw holes 7 at the extended part 1a are formed by burring, and ring type upper protruding parts 9 for preventing deformation of the plate 6 are formed on the periphery of the holes. The end part of the plate 6 is supported by the ring type upper protruding parts 9. |
