PURPOSE: To provide an energy beam detector optimum in relation to efficiency and a signal-noise ratio, and capable of selectively detecting each or many thin or thick X-ray beam flux. CONSTITUTION: Rows of optical waveguides 2 formed to extend along the longitudinal direction of rod-type scintillators 1 laid in parallel, and to be separated from one another with slits 3, are optically kept in contact with each scintillator 1, and chips 4 having photo diodes 5 are arranged in the slits 3, so as to keep each photo diode 5 in optical contact with one optical waveguide 2. Furthermore, each scintillator 1 is surrounded by a reflector 6, together with the corresponding optical waveguide 2.
