Heating of offal before treatment in an abattoir

Animal offal in an abattoir is heated before treatment in a vessel (1) of hot water. One or more baskets (7) can be deposited into the vessel from above on an arm (6) mounted on a vertical shaft. A mixer (11) is placed inside the basket by the arm (6) to agitate the offal and hot water inside the basket.
