摘要 PURPOSE:To improve the cleaning performance without causing the large deterioration of a destaticizing effect and without requiring a large space as for an electrophotographic device destaticizing the surface of a photoreceptor by irradiating it with light from an optical destaticization device after developer left on the photoreceptor after transfer is eliminated by a cleaning device. CONSTITUTION:The cleaning blade 20 of the cleaning device 15 is formed out of a light transmitting material. The base end 20a of the blade 20 is fitted to a blade holder 21 and the tip 20b thereof is made to project toward the photoreceptor 10 and abuts on the surface thereof. The holder 21 is provided with an inclined surface on the optical destaticization device 16 side, and the inclined surface is finished to be a mirror surface whose light reflectivity is high and used as the light reflecting surface 21b. At a cleaning time, the light (b) of the destaticization device 16 is reflected on the reflecting surface 21b and transmitted through the blade 20 to be cast on the surface of the photoreceptor 10. Then, the photoreceptor 10 is destaticized and the developer left on it is simultaneously scraped by the blade 20.
