<p>PURPOSE:To satisfactorily fulfill the cleaning function of the web over the entire length by providing a means for holding the surface of a cleaning web in sliding and rubbing contact with the transporting belt and a means for holding the back face in sliding and rubbing contact with the transporting belt. CONSTITUTION:The cleaning device 3 is provided extending in the width direction of the transporting belt 25, and the static discharge/charge units 7c and 7d are disposed on the upstream side of the cleaning device 3 in the case of viewing it in the running direction of the transporting belt 25. The sticking toner, etc., are rubbed off as the surface of the transporting belt 25 is rubbed through, by winding the cleaning web 31, being wound around the core bar 30, round the core bar 30' by adequate rate. In such case, the face of the web part wound around the core bar 30 butting to the transporting belt 25 and the face of the web part wound around the core bar 32 butting to the transporting belt 25 are made a front and back faces of the web 31, therefore the both faces of the web 31 are used for the cleaning by this device. Hence, the device is made advantageous with respect to cost as the feeding rate of the web 31 can be reduced.</p> |
