The tea maker comprises a container into which water and tea leaves are disposed and a plunger having an elongated rod with a pressing member attached to an end thereof to be movably and rotatably receivable within the container. The pressing member has a cross-sectional shape corresponding to an inner cross-section of the container to be snugly fit in it and movable and rotatable relative to the container along and about an longitudinal direction of the rod. Water passages are formed on the pressing member to allow the water to flow between a top side and an under side when the plunger is moved within and relative to the container to have the pressing member push and squeeze the tea leaves that are disposed within the container and below the pressing member. A number of sharpen-ended teeth are mounted on the under side of the pressing member.
