The fuel assembly includes quick-fixing means for fastening the guide tube (4') in an aperture (11') through the adapter plate (10') of a detachable endpiece (5') of said assembly. The quick-fixing means comprise at least two bearing abutment means (11'a) within the endpiece aperture (11'), a bearing sleeve (16) secured to the end of the guide tube (4') and a locking ring (18) with bearing abutment means (18d) provided on the bearing surfaces of the abutment means (11'a) within the endpiece opening (11') and conformable resilient portions (18b) insertable in the cavities of the aperture (11') of the adapter plate (10') or the bearing sleeve (16) so as to position the ring (18) in a locking or unlocking position of the guide tube (4'). Said sleeve (16) comprises a bearing flange (16f) provided on a bearing surface (10'a) of the adapter plate (10'), on the periphery of the aperture (11').
