A detachable anchorage for a strap comprises a strap attachment plate 34 having a keyhole slot therein and fixing means attachable to a vehicle comprising a headed stud 10 with spacing member 20, the head 16 of the stud passes through the larger part of the keyhole slot but not through the narrower part, the stud passes also through an aperture in a resilient retaining member 46 which projects into the larger part of the slot and prevents removal of the plate 34 until a portion 50 of the retaining member is displaced from the slot. The plastics retaining member has an extension 52 which engages under the edge of the aperture in the plate to prevent inadvertent displacement of the member from the aperture. Alternatively the member is made of metal, part of which is bent over and engages in the aperture in the plate. |
