发明名称 DEVICE AND METHOD FOR CAPILLARY ELECTROPHORESIS
摘要 PURPOSE: To eliminate influence due to electric osmotic flow(EOF) by reducing a cross section of a capillary, forming the cross section into a rectangular, and generating a regulatable hydrostatic velocity component in the reverse direction. CONSTITUTION: A cross section, which is formed into a rectangle whose ratio of a maximum inside width to a maximum inside height is 5 to 1 at least, of a capillary 10 is reduced, and an EOF cross section is gradually brought close to a laminar flow and changed into a parabola shape. On the other hand, a pressure, which presses back an analyzed object 17 in the direction toward an injection end part 12 of the capillary 10, is fed to buffer liquid 16 by pressurizing an outlet storage device 20 by means of a pressure pump 28. This reverse flow generates an accurate parabola type velocity profile inside the circular/rectangular capillary 10. Then, this pressurization is regulated so as to be provided with at least 50% of the intensity of the EOF velocity profile in the normal direction, and a reverse directional hydrostatic velocity component provided with a hydrostatic velocity profile in the opposite direction to this profile is generated, and EOF can be reduced by means of this hydrostatic velocity component.
