PURPOSE: To visually recognize original architecture and structure including sub systems, directories, files and correction by turning an included area directly included inside a certain inclusion area to a shape capable of easily perceiving the corresponding size of the directly included area from display. CONSTITUTION: A processor 133 reads the number of source code lines (NCS lines) not provided with comments to the certain release of a software system and the number of the NCS lines inside one or plural previous releases. A system display space 303 is defined on a display screen 301 and the statistical amount and characteristics of the sub system are displayed. A control and indicator space 305 is provided on the lower left part of the display screen 301 or the display space 303. The display space 303 is divided into plural geometrical shapes 307 and the sizes, that are areas, of respective geometrical shapes 307 indicate the numbers of the NCS lines of the respective sub systems.
