<p>PURPOSE:To realize downsizing while lowering the fail rate and to employ noble metal only at required parts. CONSTITUTION:The method for manufacturing a multiwiper comprises a step 4 for making pilot holes on the opposite sides of a hoop member made of a spring copper alloy and welding a thin wire of noble metal in the breadthwise direction of the hoop member, a step 6 for making side holes to be inserted with a stopper die at the positions where the thin wire of noble metal is located on the inside of the pilot hole and in the vicinity of the opposite ends of the hoop member, a step 8 for inserting a stopper die into the side holes and making a plurality of slits of substantially identical dimensions as the side hole at a predetermined interval in the longitudinal direction of the hoop member between the side holes by repeating slit press, a step 11 for cutting off the forward end part of the multiwiper of hoop member and bending the hoop member into multiwiper, and a step 12 for conditioning the spring function by heat treatment.</p> |
