Recycling of silica-rich refractory material

摘要

In a recycling process for high silica content refractory material, esp. silica rubble, the rubble is crushed to a particle size of 0.1-2.0 mm. and is then added to a glass batch instead of quartz sand. Also claimed is the use of silica rubble as a quartz sand replacement in glass making batch. Pref. the treated silica rubble can replace up to 100% of quartz sand in a glass melting batch.
