The spanner has a set-spanner head and/or a ring-spanner head on the grip part. It has a rod with the two rectangular supporting bodies (6) for the grip part fixed to it by a flange. The free flanges are at a clearance from the rod body and are fitted opposite each other. The rod body may be formed from a piece of tubing (5), or may be solid. The supporting body flanges may be welded or soldered to the tubing. A further extension may be fitted to the supporting bodies. To use the spanner, the extension tube with supporting bodies is fitted to the grip part. The flange guides it into position.
