<p>PURPOSE: To provide a new wide E-ISDN service by constituting a modular suite in a signal protocol architecture which is composed at least of one client server oriented signal message and has no relation with any communication network architecture nor any exchange system. CONSTITUTION: An exchange 702 processes ordinary calls, N-ISDN calls, and B-ISDN calls. A B-ISDN communication signal message is received and processed by means of a B-ISDN 703. The B-ISDN 703 is a processor executing call control 710, connection control 711, channel control 712, and service control 713. The exchange 702 communicates with another ATM exchange, such as the ATM exchange 705, etc., by performing B-ISDN call processing 703 by using a communication signal message suitable to theses protocols. Therefore, the application processes of the exchanges 702 and 705 use a common signal protocol defined in this invention for communication.</p> |
