PURPOSE:To set a first kind of error probability and the longest-data acquistion time independently of each other and to enhance the uniformity of statistical reliability by a method wherein a threshold value at every time is determined considering a noise characteristic value. CONSTITUTION:On the basis of the signal waveform and period of a signal to be verified, time-variant observation data Y(t) is acquired by a part 1 only for the longest- data acquisition time. Then, in a likelihood-ratio-function computation part 3, a binary hypothesis is set in a part 32, and it is input to a computation part 32. In a noise- characteristic estimation part 2, the noise-characteristic estimation value N of a colored noise estimated by a maximum likelihood method is output to the computation part 32. The computation part 3 computes a likelihood-ratio function (t) on the basis of the data, and the function is output to a judgement part 51 in a verification part 5. In parallel with the above operation, a threshold computation part 4 computes a time-variant threshold value p(t) on the basis of the probability alpha of error of the first kind at a definite value, and the threshold value is output to the judgement part 51. In the judgment part 1, the magnitude of the input function (t) is compared with that of the input threshold value P(t), and whether a known signal at that time exists or not is judged. |
