PURPOSE:To omit an operation needed for securing the coincidence between the specifications classified by nations of a keyboard and those of the document data when these document data are edited. CONSTITUTION:When an instruction is inputted for change of the nation-based specifications, the value of a nation-based code memory 19b is updated and the updated nation-based codes are written into the head of a text memory 19a. When an instruction is inputted for storage of a document, the document data of the memory 19a are stored in a floppy disk 6. When a document reading instruction is inputted, the document data are read out of the disk 6 and written in the memory 19a. Then, the head data of the memory 19a are written in the memory 19b. This editing job is carried out based on the nation-based specifications shown in the nation-based codes of the memory 19b. |
