PURPOSE:To reduce a COD value and to improve an environmental condition, in applying decoloration treatment to the colored waste water discharged from a printed/dyed fabric washing process, by adding a decoloration treatment agent compounded with a cationic polymer decoloring agent to treated water before passing the treated water through a sand filter tank. CONSTITUTION:The colored raw water discharged from a printing factory is supplied to a first reaction tank 2 while the pH thereof is adjusted in a raw water conditioning tank 1 and a flocculant such as ferrous sulfate is added to the raw water to flocculate inorg. matter. Next, the treated water is supplied to a sedimentation tank 3 to separate the inorg. matter and the separated supernatant water is supplied to a second reaction tank 4. Herein, activated sludge is added to metabolize org. matter and only the treated water from which sludge is separated in a sedimentation tank 5 is supplied to a third reaction tank 6. A decoloring agent prepared by compounding activated carbon being ultrafine particles with a cationic polymer flocculating and decoloring agent is added to the treated water to adsorb a dye component on activated carbon and the decoloring agent. Thereafter reacted water is purified by a sedimentation tank 7 and a backwashing filter tank 8. |
