Motor vehicle door with door outer panel, door inner panel and with door inner lining, a motor vehicle door lock and a door window-lifting device being arranged in the door cavity between the door inner panel and the door outer panel. The motor vehicle door lock and the door window-lifting device are fastened in the position determined by the assembly of these components in the door cavity, on a supporting assembly comprising supporting-assembly elements. The door window-lifting device is fastened on one of the supporting-assembly elements, the motor vehicle door lock is fastened on a further supporting-assembly element. Further supporting-assembly elements are designed as position-defining and clearance-forming components. The supporting-assembly elements are connected to one another via hinges and can be swung around the hinges. The door inner panel has two spaced-apart door inner-panel recesses, into one of which the door-assembly element for the door window-lifting device is fitted fixably, in the other of which a door-assembly element assigned to the motor vehicle door lock is fitted fixably. During installation the supporting assembly is inserted into the door cavity as a folding mechanism adjustable by the hinges and is unfolded in said cavity. <IMAGE>
